Commission on Theology and Inter-Church Relations

The CTICR advises the LCA in matters of theology and relationships with other Lutheran churches worldwide and churches of other denominations within Australia. The commission studies topical theological issues, with a view to giving its considered advice, in the form of agreed statements, to the presidents, the General Church Council, the pastors' conferences, and the broad membership of the LCA. Through its ecumenical dialogues, it has an ongoing program of theological discussion with the major church bodies in Australia, it hears reports from the National Council of Churches in Australia and the NCCA's theo9logical body, the Faith and Unity Commission, and it monitors developments within Lutheran World Federation and the International Lutheran Council.
